The Madeira range of Marguerites is quite special - lovely colour shades and long flowering. This is 'Crested Primrose' and is quite exquisite with it mass of cheerful sunflower posies.

Calico bush

Just about the prettiest thing to flower in the spring. This is Kalmia latifolia, not a plant for everyone as it needs an acid soil and free drainage that doesn't dry out - if you can't find a place for one come and take a look anyway - you'll fall in love with it!

Canna time!

Cannas are ready to plant outside - we have pot grown ones in bud and flower. With simple care - feeding, watering and dead heading they'll flower well into the Autumn.

Pot Lilies

Nothing compares to Lilies for exotic colours and exuberant flowering....some are highly fragrant too!
Buy them in bud ready to put in patio pots or plant in the garden - they'll last for several weeks.

No more spiked spuds!

Not a new idea but previously hard to find - a purpose built Potato fork!
This tool is strongly made with broad tines that have blunt, rounded ends so that the chances of spearing your spuds is much reduced. If you have a potato patch this is a very worthwhile addition to the garden shed armoury.

The New Forest in spring

GardenLands is on the edge of the New Forest. You can spend time getting your bedding plants, have a snack in the Coffee shop then just a few minutes later be surrounded by the wonderful spring green. The first foals are just being born now.

The Japanese maples have just flushed into leaf and are at their best - it's a great time to choose one. Or just come to enjoy their loveliness.

Meet your Nemesia

This has to be the year of the Nemesia - so many new varieties and the plants are fat and full of bud due to the warmth and sunshine. Look for them in the Patio plant section and in larger pots sizes with the tender perennials.

Coleus - named varieties

Once a year about this time we get these wonderful named varieties of Coleus - now called Solenostemon, just to confuse everyone. Perfect in bedding borders, patio pots or, for a real show in a conservatory.
