BBQ Benefits

You can help the environment with a double whammy by using locally produced charcoal on your Barbeque. Avoid the damage to precious forests and transportation miles by buying charcoal produced as a by-product from the careful management of Dorset woodland. Our amazing bluebell woods and hedgerows depend on a regular cycle of coppicing to keep them healthy. As a result timber is harvested and converted into top grade lump-wood charcoal ideal for BBQs and Chimneas. The trees rapidly grow back again, locking up carbon dioxide and so the process can be viewed as carbon neutral, unlike the lower grade imported charcoal.

Banksian Rose

The Banksian Rose (Rosa banksiae) is a rare treasure.
This lovely rambling rose produces graceful sprays of small, double, deep yellow flowers in April and May. Perfect for covering an arch or pergola or for growing through a tree, the lightly scented flowers are followed by attractive rose-hips. Best in a sunny sheltered site.
We have large plants in flower now - always in short supply!
